Editorial Policy
Zest Assure, a trading name of Juicy Media Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company number 05514688), publishes guides, blog posts and help articles about ISO 9001, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification, and about using the Zest Assure compliance platform. Because our readers rely on this material when preparing for audits and certification, we hold it to a deliberately high standard. This policy explains how we create and review what we publish, how we handle corrections, and how we moderate comments and feedback submitted through www.zestassure.com.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers all editorial content we publish on our website — including guides, blog posts, help-centre articles, glossaries and downloadable resources — together with any comments, reviews, testimonials or other feedback that visitors submit for publication. It does not cover material your organisation creates inside its own Zest Assure workspace, which remains under your control and is addressed in our Data Protection Policy.
How we produce our content
Accuracy and expert review
Every guide and help article is drafted by, or in consultation with, people who work with the relevant standard or scheme in practice. Before publication, a second reviewer checks each piece for technical accuracy, clarity and consistency with the current version of the standard or certification scheme it describes. Nothing is published on the strength of a single pair of eyes.
Our content is intended as general guidance. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for the requirements set by your certification body or assessor. Where a topic depends on the specifics of your organisation, we say so.
Sources and references
We base our published material on primary sources wherever possible: the text of the standards themselves, official scheme documentation from bodies such as the National Cyber Security Centre, guidance from regulators, and our own experience supporting compliance workspaces, evidence management, reviews and assessor collaboration on the platform. When we cite a third-party source, we identify it. We do not present speculation as fact, and we label opinion clearly as opinion.
Corrections and updates
Standards and certification schemes change, and so does our platform. We review our library periodically and update articles when a standard is revised, a scheme's requirements change, or a platform feature is altered. If we discover a material error — or a reader points one out — we correct the article promptly and, where the error could have misled readers, we add a note describing what changed. To report a suspected error, email hello@zestassure.com with a link to the page concerned.
When and where will my comment be displayed?
Comments and feedback submitted through our website do not appear immediately. Everything passes through moderation first. Once approved, blog comments appear beneath the article they relate to. Feedback, reviews and testimonials may also be displayed elsewhere on www.zestassure.com or in our marketing materials, in the format we consider most appropriate. If you would prefer your comment to appear only in a specific place, tell us when you submit it.
Do we moderate the comments we receive?
Yes. A member of our team reviews submissions during normal UK business hours, so there may be a short delay before your comment appears. Moderation exists to keep discussion useful and safe — not to filter out criticism. We are happy to publish disagreement with our articles or with our platform, provided it is expressed within the rules below. To be approved, a comment must:
- relate to the article or topic under which it is submitted;
- be courteous towards other readers, our staff and third parties;
- contain no hate speech, harassment, threats or obscene material;
- contain no defamatory or knowingly false statements;
- not impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- not disclose anyone's personal data without their consent;
- not include advertising, affiliate links or other promotional material;
- not infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights — see our Copyright Policy;
- not be spam, machine-generated bulk content or an attempt to manipulate search rankings.
We reserve the right to decline any submission that breaches these rules, and to remove a previously published comment if we later become aware of a problem. Repeated abuse may lead us to decline all future submissions from the person responsible.
Comments and your personal data
If you submit a comment, we publish the name you provide alongside it; we do not publish your email address. Juicy Media Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration Z1589829), and we handle the personal data in your submission in accordance with our GDPR Policy and Data Protection Policy. For details of the cookies used on this site, see our Cookies Policy.
Frequently asked questions
Do you edit comments?
No. We either publish a comment as submitted or decline it — we do not rewrite what you said. The only exceptions are minor spelling or grammatical corrections, and the removal of personal data that should not be made public.
Can I ask you not to publish my comment or feedback?
Yes. Tell us in writing — by email to hello@zestassure.com — that you want your submission excluded from publication, or published only in a particular context, and we will honour that request.
Can I change my mind after you have published?
Yes. Write to us and we will amend or remove your published comment. Please note that once material has appeared online we cannot control copies held by search engines, web archives or third parties, so removal from our own site may not erase it everywhere.
How quickly do you respond to correction requests?
We aim to acknowledge reports of factual errors within two working days and to correct confirmed errors as soon as reasonably practicable.
